About
His Creation:
He spoke the word! And it was! Everything out of
nothing! Life from nothing! Beauty where none existed! Creation
is not meant to be worshiped. It is designed to point us to its
Creator. We are meant to look at something so orderly, so vast,
and so majestic that we must think beyond our own humanity.
God is the ultimate artist. Daily, He paints a sunrise
that changes every second with thousands of brush strokes. Each
image He paints allows a glimpse of His greatness - if we will but
open our eyes and see. Macro photography allows us to examine the
intricate details of a tiny wild flower and see into a tiny bit
of His extraordinary care for the smallest of details. One can only
attempt to capture a minute portion of the grandeur of these experiences
on a piece of film or a few million pixels of digital film.
Credit where credit is due. Creation by God. Snapshots
of His Creation by John. The art work presented in my snapshots
is but a dim reflection of the Glory of God found in His Creation.
I offer it to God and to you in thanks for His wonderful gifts He
so bountifully and freely gives. It is offered to you as a means
of quiet witness to family, friends, and acquaintances. We are invited
every minute of every day to celebrate Him.
About John E Braddock
Ten years old and armed with a Kodak Brownie camera,
I began taking photos of nature in 1959 while on a family trip to
Yellowstone and the Teton National Parks. The love of nature and
photography has grown and continues to grow. The desire to spend
time appreciating nature has been nurtured by my parents, the Boy
Scouts of America, reading, our education system, educational programming
and materials. This child spent many hours pouring over old copies
of National Geographic to explore though others eyes places I dreamed
of going. Our Federal, State, County, and local governments have
helped build a wonderful system of parks, reserves, nature conservancies
which we can all appreciate. Others have shared their favorite locations,
so my photos will as well whenever possible.
Personally, I must spend quality time in solitude
with my God. The best times for me to do that are quiet walks in
His garden. These walks with Him cause me to think, to meditate,
to draw close, to listen to and learn from Him.
Thank you,
